VARA British Extravaganza Featured Event
Our Seventeenth annual race is open to all race-prepared Triumph-powered sports cars and will be held at Buttonwillow Raceway as the feature event of the VARA British Extravaganza.
Buttonwillow Raceway Park is a road racing facility located in Southern California just outside the town of Buttonwillow, CA. Professional race teams, car manufactures, tire manufactures and aftermarket accessory companies use the facilities to develop, improve and refine their products. Amateur and professional race series utilize the facility to hold races on a variety of configurations.
Kastner Cup Race entrants may race with the regular VARA run groups Saturday and Sunday including the Union Jack Challenge Race (All British Cars) Sunday, May 5th.

Thursday arrivals will be greeted by VARA, earlier arrivals are subject to standard Buttonwillow gate hours.

VARA SAFETY, CAR, & TIRE REQUIREMENTS
VARA Requires a Snell 2010 or later helmet, Head/Neck device, and standard vintage racing usual safety gear.
VARA allows any DOT competition "treaded" tires. Any tires normally ran and approved by your home vintage racing organization will be allowed. All-out racing slicks not permitted.
SPECIAL CAR PREP RULES FOR KASTNER CUP RACE ENTRANTS
The Kastner Cup is open to all Triumph-Powered race cars.
Roll bar and full safety equipment required. There will be a separate technical inspection for Kastner Cup race entrants.
Because many Kastner Cup race entrants will be visiting from other regions, certain exemptions will be allowed to include as many race cars as possible. The race cars must have a current log-book and be legal in their home vintage racing organization.
